Jason Cook : Joy

"A total triumph" - The List

Selling out a run of dates is impressive, even more so in the Edinburgh festival, where competition is fierce and the fringe itself announced that ticket sales were down 10 percent from last year. But for Jason? He had to put on an extra show to meet with demand.

The sheer volume of people returning from last years show was immense. Due to Jason's conversational style and ability to improvise with an audience while keeping the narrative moving, every show is unique and many punters were taking him to one side to say "I was at the show last year where you thought the guys son was his wife", or "I was at the one your dad came to"

Last year’s tour had to be extended due the overwhelming demand including a three night sold out run at Soho Theatre.
So look out World, he’s back. And this time, he’s very happy indeed.

Dan Nighingale : Geronimo

“Fantastic... He has it in him to be another Kitson or Noble.” - Metro

Ever gone to a comedy show and thought, what this comedian needs is a good gimmick? An overarching theme to use as a springboard for humorous observations and clever backchat?

Probably not. You’d probably just prefer it if they got on with being funny.

After many attempts to write about themes and gimmicks Dan Nightingale had a Geronimo moment. He decided he doesn’t need a gimmick. He is funnier with no theme at all, unless you count that as a gimmick in itself.

This is a dangerous thing to do in stand up these days, where everyone seems to have shows that are about something or other. But Dan’s show is about funny; this year, he will be doing the unthinkable – a show, and a debut show at that, with no theme. 55 minutes of brilliant stand-up, from a man who went from barman to compere of Manchester’s Frog and Bucket comedy club in 12 months and performed in a double-header with Josie Long at the 2005 Fringe. He’s now embarking upon his first national tour.

John Cooper: The 30 Year Itch

"The fact that one man created a comedy from the basic premise of the irritating skin condition eczema will never cease to astound...Hilarious, just go and see John Cooper."
- Three Weeks

After a successful Edinburgh debut playing to a full house every night, John takes his first solo out around the UK. Telling a personal story about growing up, moving on, flaring up, flaking out and the joy of grown up geekdom, It's an inspiring show for anyone who ever lacked confidence.

Drawing together his multi-disciplined skills of straight stand up, character, animation and improvised comedy, he's keen to point out this isn't an excuse for a personal therapy session, but simply following the first rule of comedy: – write what you know.

David Longley : A Joke is Just a Joke

"a different breed of late-night comic" The Metro

This superbly intelligent stand up show is now available to tour.

Schedule:
First leg: Oct – Nov 2008
Second Leg: Feb – April 2009.

“There's no compelling reason as to why you should see this show above anyone else's. Strange as human beings are, we will pay money to see a show, and if it turns out to be a crap show, we'll still sit there Because “I've paid, so I might as well stay."

It is this mentality I intend to address. It makes no sense. Like a lot of things, it makes no sense but we keep doing it. I don't really see any sense in writing this. I don't actually believe that reading this will make one iota of difference to your decision to see the show or not.

Before I started comedy, a joke was just a joke. Then I started to do comedy, and joke was more than a joke. Now I understand comedy, a joke is just a joke.”

Toby Hadoke : Moths Ate My Doctor Who Scarf.Moths Ate My Doctor Who Scarf

Moths Ate My Dr Who Scarf enjoyed a successful run at Baby Belly 2 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2006. The show returned in 2007 for a sell out run and 100% Five Star reviews.

The reviews are too many to detail, so here's just a taster.

Recommended – a confident performer in a well structured and surprisingly effective one-man show with an emotional kick.
The Times

A must see – well conceived and worryingly accurate.
