Biography
Originally from Preston, Lancashire Dan started his comedy career while living in Newcastle in 2002. After working at The Hyena Comedy Café as a sound man for six months, he finally got on stage. Friday night in Newcastle. A real baptism of fire. But it went well and within four months Dan had reached the Semi Finals of three national new comedy competitions.
Manchester was calling, and toward the end of 2002 Dan began building his reputation in the North West and began his love affair with the Frog & Bucket, where within 12 months he went from barman, to booking agent, to hosting the new act night and finally compering the weekends.
In June 2004 he turned professional, having fully established himself on the Northern comedy circuit, playing all the major clubs from Liverpool up to the North East. Twelve months down the line he's performed in Dubai and his gig list now covers the south of England, with regular gigs in Brighton, Bristol and the Midlands. And at the Edinburgh festival 2004 he performed at the café Royal as part of the Big Value Comedy Show. In 2005 he performed at the Festival as part of a double header with the award winning Josie Long.
