| The Great Escape @ the Frog from leftover Turkey and relatives you've got nothing to say to. And you could tell people were glad to get out. The atmosphere was fantastic from start to finish largely due to the excellent compering of Toby Hadoke. | |||
| Toby or Not Toby, that is the question. | Geoff Taylor kicks off the night in true style with some very close to the bone gags that got a great response. | ||
| Dave Purdy with an aggressive set that took the roof off.... | .....but managed to overrun by about a week putting Colin's redlight into overtime. | ||
| Dave "the legend" Twentyman sporting a cast from "scrapping on the mean streets of St. Helens" or for falling over whilst p*ssed. - Beat the Frog | Neil Smith's The People's Princess material instantly achieves two cards and his fate was sealed by one of the other acts with a piece of industrial espionage - 4:34 | ||
| Angela Poynton's thunder was stolen by The Hadoke - 2:20 | The enigma of Richard Swan.... | ||
| ....and lighters aloft for "that" restaurant gag. | Greg Taylor with a crop of new material that I suspect will be going straight in the bin! | ||
| Rodney Marques pray's to the gods and it pays off - Beat the Frog. | A very aggresive Steve G with probably his best Beat the Frog yet. - Beat the Frog. | ||
| Mike Landers with some of the best gags of the night and quite rightly took the roof off. - Beat the Frog. | The crowd show their appreciation. | ||
| Squaddie boy | The very energetic Paulo Ferrari sees his first card.... | ||
| ....and then the second. - 1.30 | Owen Niblock with a very understated style which showed real promise in places. - 3:05 | ||
| And Chez Guevara boy steps up to try and wow the crowd with his comic genius..... | A very inebriated Adam Bowman stumbles through his set until he notices the young lady with the economical skirt. The rest as they say, is history. Much like Adam when her squaddie boyfriend gets hold of him. | ||
| Dave Twentyman receives his applause in the line up... | ....and there was no real doubt over the winner... | ||
| ..... Mr. Mike Landers! | Geoff Taylor looking for a prince. | ||
