3-4-06 - Happy Birthday to Ya!

This week's Beat the Frog was extra special with us celebrating out 12th Birthday.  Typically chaotic, but absolutely brilliant with special headline sets from Smug Roberts and Mick Ferry.
MC Jonathan Mayor in the first of his costumes. David Perkin with the longest cigar ever!  David presented some BBC footage from the opening night of the Oldham Street from back in 1996.
Tim Craven is the first act up and successfully Beats the Frog. Phil James was fantastic and easily made the five.
Gotta be the act of the night.  Lee Fenwick with his latest comedy creation - Steve Pendle.  Brilliant, brilliant stuff. - Beat the Frog and ripped the roof off. The crowd loved it.
Danny Deegan battles with Jonathan and is croaked twice before making the 5 minutes! There's something slightly odd about this picture, but I can't put my finger on it...
Andy Mettam "experiments". - 2:55 Brain Wharton never really managed to grab them. - 1:25.
Dom Woodward trips onto the stage. - Beat the Frog. Deputy Jake Hickory struggles to hit home. - 2:00
Jason Cook is the final act in Beat the Frog and wrote a piece specifically for the occasion about when he was twelve.  It was absolute class.  Beat the Frog.
Jonathan "showbiz" Mayor hosts the clap off. And then there were two.
Toby Hadoke has clearly picked his favourite. Mr. Steve Pendle!
Yet another costume from Jonathan. A very, very drunk Mick Ferry talks us through his first ever stand set.  A pleasure to witness.
The bar staff are absolutely gripped by Mick's drunk ramblings. Smug Roberts is next up and tells us about when he first started before moving into Spot the Dog.
And S Club 7 to close. Well, it'd be rude not to!
And one last curtain call for Jonathan. Our "cheerful" stage manager, Colin.
The Comedy Store crew pop in. Dom Woodward and Jo Dakin.
Well, it's a frog. David, Frog and Sam the Man.
BBC Gill and star of Ideal - Seymour Mace. Greg Cook and Lynne.
Jonathan Paylor and Sarah Warburton. Karen Bayley with Mick Ferry and star of the Friday Night Project - Alan Carr.
Killian "ROCK!" Monson. Lee and The Atta.
Lee Fenwick, Danny Deegan and Jason Cook. A rather worse for wear Mick Ferry and the lovely Katie.
Patrick Aherne with a lady who's name escapes me! Sorry. Ruth and Claire.
Seymour Mace and Karen Bayley. Tommy used to work on the dock...
Shan gets a kiss from a handsome prince and breaks free of the Frog suit! Smug Roberts gets a kiss from a not so handsome prince - Patrick Aherne!
Smug, Patrick, Lee and Steve Harris. Steve Harris has it large!
Steve, Seema and Lisa. Toby Hadoke and Killian Monson.
