18-7-05 - Let the chaos commence!
|
What an absolutely fantastic night! From start to finish the atmosphere was electric and the place was absolutely rammed which surprised me considering it is July! See you all next week for another round of mayhem! Apologies for the inconsistency in the piccies. The batteries in the camera died so Chris had to use his phone. We lost the piccies from the first section of Andy Watson and Tim "the tache" Craven. |

| Dan kicks off the night with various random noises and asks Tatiana to make some noise. She issues with a noise that can only be described as "the devil, coughing up sp*nk". From then on in "the devil woman" became an integral part of the show. | Andy Kind is first in Beat the Frog and shows exactly why he's progressing like he is. Fine material and a spot of audience banter in there too. - Beat the Frog with ease. |

| Bethany is next up and does an equally fine job with a classic set which the crowd loved. - Beat the Frog | Next up was "The Bacon Grabbers" with an interesting sketch that didn't really engage the audience. - 1:55 |

| Now, here's the first of out mug shots of Tim Craven. Who can spot what's wrong with this picture? | Damion Larkin is next up and is doing ok, and is then asked to down his pint. Now, this was only a pint of water, and it wasn't even full. But Damion duly obliged and the crowd loved it. - Beat the Frog |

| Mike Sands. This picture can't possibly do justice to the visual spectacular that was Mike's set. Props a plenty with my personal being the T-Mobile gag. Class. The crowd liked it in a " this is so corny, it's funny" kinda way but at about 4 minutes they started to lose interest and he was carded at 4:30. | |

| After the break Chris Tavner stepped up and had a good start but he seemed to lose momentum. - 3:50 | Kelly Roberts with a very respectable - 4:15 |

| HE Thomas had a great start and she very nearly made the five - 4:20 | Tony Vino steps up with some rather "classic" material of old gags. Dan tired with it at about 2 minutes and croaked him. He then had to explain to the crowd why acts HAVE write their own material and not tell jokes their dad's were telling in the playground back in 1963. |

| Richie Hall closes the show and struggles after Dan's impromptu explanation of the rules of alternative comedy. - 1:30 | Have a word with yourself Tim... |

| The line up, and the applause is really close. Dan has them do a knock knock joke gag off, which dies on it's *rse. | The audience clap again but Dan still can't make the decision. |

|
| So he goes to star of the show, Tatiana to make the decision. Dan - "They were all good weren't they?". Tat - "No. I liked Andy Kind." | |

| And so it was. Your winner, Andy Kind. | Really Tim. What were you thinking? |

| Andy Kind's face says it all. Tim, lose the tache fella! | Jade gets more bits of her body out again. Much to Doug's disgust. |
| See you next week!! | |
